Stay Wild, Stay Safe

Having fun, being free, being safe together.

Parties will continue to run this Summer, however we've had to make some changes to the way we work due to the physical restrictions we are currently experiencing.  If you know us, then you know how difficult we find restrictions of any kind, however we want you to know that we do this because we want to keep our elders and more vulnerable friends and family safe and well, so we are grateful for your help with this.

We do not work with more than 15 children per party.  There will be 2 facilitators per party and we can accommodate up to 4 accompanying adults.

We ask that parents of party goers do not attend with their children (unless they are required for one to one support), but drop off and collect at the designated place.  Please be respectful of the party start and end time and don't linger for too long on collection and drop off.   If you arrive early, please wait in your car until drop off / pick up time begins.

We will be observing distancing rules, however parents must acknowledge that children may at times come into physical contact with others, particularly if they need first aid, comforting if they are unhappy, or through play.  We will do our best to make sure distanced seating around the camp fire is adhered to and that children who are not in each other's bubbles do not share tools, gloves, food or clothing. unless explicitly agreed prior to the party.  You can specify on the disclaimer who you are happy for your child to bubble with.

We would ask that only children with a clear understanding of physical distancing and an ability to put this into practice attend the party and for this we need to be guided by you, so please do make sure you are confident that your child will be able to keep others safe before you agree to their attendance.

In particular we need you to agree to the following;

  • If any parent, child or member of their household / 'support bubble’ have any clear symptoms of Covid 19, we would prefer for the child not to attend the party until a negative test result is provided.

  • If any child or staff in the 'party tribe' presents with clear Covid 19 symptoms at any time during the party, the party will end, parents will be notified and the individual will be required to go for testing, with follow up checks from staff.

FRYLANDS WOOD -  We have our own toilet block which is cleaned before and after we arrive and leave.  Children will be escorted to the toilets and will go two at a time, with hand sanitiser used at the units prior to entry.  Please also make sure your child brings their own hand sanitiser.

LOCAL WOODS - There are no toilets, so its tree wees.  Please make sure your child brings their own hand sanitiser.  We have a mobile handwashing area.

Tools will be disinfected after each use, and each child will sanitise hands prior to using a tool.   Craft materials such as clay, string, wool etc will be issued by staff with sanitised hands for individual use only.

Children need to bring their own labelled water bottles.  Other than that, please don't send them with toys or bags.  Please exchange gifts either before or after the party and the parent hosting the party will take responsibility for these.

We will be cooking marshmallows, but each child will have their own cooking stick which we will burn afterwards, and staff will ensure they are wearing disposable gloves to handle the marshmallows and biscuits. Some other simple cooking may take place at this time, but will be done in a Covid Safe way, with no sharing of utensils, plates or bowls.

We reserve the right to cancel parties should government guidance change at any time, or if there is an incident at a party.  We cannot refund bookings, however we may be happy to honour them at a later date.

Other than all of that, we will continue to be as Wild as we ever were, and look forward to going wild with you!
